Chimé is an interactive cd-rom,
produced between 2000 and 2004 by Frédérick A. Belzile.

Four characters introduce us to four imaginary spaces : My Calling Figure, Walker of the Flat Tower, La Zani and La FemmeVolcan. These female, androgynous and animal figures become our initiators. They offer us the keys to a universe made of thresholds and passages evoking the many facets and glimmerings of a mouvance linked to identity, to existence. Magic meets the absurd, the kitsch and the symbolic.

Frédérick Belize provokes collisions and associations between words, colors, forms, spaces and temporalities. Paroles, voices and breath convey the myths as she approaches them transversally so as to speak of origin, belonging, distance, grieving and exile.

Between the fascination, the discovery, the play and the detachment, the stakes of this work cannot be reduced to few simple words. It is up to us, now to discover what is hidden behind the silences, intervals and mirror figures of Chimé.
